  9. There seems to few missing for instance Danny Im Taebin of 1TYM and Danny From LA (DFLA) was born in and living back in California. Sunny from Girl’s Generation though now holds a Republic of Korea (South) citizenship she was born in California. NS Yoon-G (Christine Kim Yoon Ji) was born in South Korea, but lived in California from 4th grade up until she graduated from UCLA with Bachelor’s Degree majoring in Communication.
There are plenty more if you started counting those that just debuted in the last couple of years, for instance Francesca “Cheska” Ahn with Fiestar was born in the US and is Korean-American and Cao Lu is Chinese and is also in Fiestar.

  10. Most of SM Entertainment produced groups have always featured some members who were born in South Korea and lived outside of South Korea for awhile, were/are Koreans born abroad, or are from different Asian groups.

Shinhwa Eric Mun, Shin Hye Sung, Andy Lee have at least lived in the US.

S.E.S. Kim Yoo Jin (Eugene) born in South Korea but lived in Guam before joining SM Entertainment, Yoo Soo Young (Shoo) was born in South Korea, but lived most her life before live Japan, prior to joining SME.

TVXQ the original line-up of five members included Park Yoo Chun (Micky Yoochun) who was born in South Korea and has lived in the US for about 7 years prior to joining SME.

Super Junior originallin-up included Hankyung (Han Geng) who is Chinese.
Super Junior-M includes Zhou Mi (Chinese) and Henry Lau (Chinese-Canadian)

Girl’s Generation Jessica Jung Soo Yeon and Stephanie “Tiffany” Hwang are Korean-Americans and Sunny (Lee Soon Kyu) is an American-Korean (born in the US but now holds a South Korean citizenship).

f(x) consist of two Asian-Americans (Krystal Jung Soo Jung (Korean-American) and Amber Liu (Taiwanese-American)) and Victoria Song Qian is Chinese. The other two members are South Korean Choi Jin Ri “Sulli” and Park Sun Young “Luna”.

EXO-M which is the Chinese sub-unit of the twelve member EXO group which include Kris (Chinese-Canadian), Xiumin is Korean, Lu Han is Chinese, Lay is Chinese, Chen is Korean, Tao is Chinese.

  12. This design is spectacular! You most certainly know how to keep a
reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job.
I really enjoyed what you had to say, and
more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

And by the way, most of Chinese, Chn-Canadian, Korean-Americam, Taiwanese-American, and Korean/Chinese that grew up in the US are from SM ENT.

  40. If I joined the kpop industry, Ill be in the catagory of Canadian/Canada and my race is western cree native american not korean at all. I do look like one, maybe. I want to participate next two years or three and audition. Just thinking about it makes me super nervous. I do want to leave my normal life since it it boring and live a life where I can be busy all the time and not worry of dying as a nobody. Just reading some webites about Kpop Idols inspires me more to realize some idols aren’t korean but are allowed to join despite they aren’t..korean. I wonder they will accept me even if I am a Cree,Native American and born in Canada. I think I will be the first Cree person to join the Kpop industry lmao…My mother will be proud. If they don’t accept me…There goes my confidence.
